Looking for a fun and affordable family outing this spring? Randwick’s popular Spot On street festival is back, transforming The Spot into a lively evening destination filled with music, entertainment, outdoor dining and community celebrations. And there are still two Thursday nights left to enjoy!
Organised by Randwick City Council, Spot On 2026 brings six weeks of free, family-friendly entertainment to the heart of Randwick, running every Thursday evening from 24 September to 29 October.
Whether you’re planning an early dinner with the kids, catching up with friends or simply looking for something different to do close to home, this community celebration is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the warmer spring evenings.
What’s Happening at Spot On Randwick?
The Spot is one of Randwick’s best-loved dining and entertainment precincts, and during Spot On, the streets come alive with performances, music, creative experiences and a welcoming festival atmosphere.
Families can enjoy live entertainment while exploring the area’s restaurants and cafés, with plenty of opportunities to discover local businesses and soak up the community atmosphere.
Previous festival evenings have featured circus performances, stilt walkers, puppetry, live bands, Irish dancing and interactive creative experiences.
Best of all, the street entertainment is free, making Spot On an appealing option for families looking to enjoy a night out without spending a fortune.
Thursday 22 October – Mediterranean Night
Get ready for a Mediterranean-inspired evening filled with music, dancing and cultural celebrations.
The entertainment program includes:
- 6pm: Philharmonix
- 6.45pm: Haskas Greek Dancing
- 7pm: Tassous Bouzouki Trio
- 8pm: Lola Lovina
Resident DJ SVGRTFX will also bring music to the evening.
Families can explore a special art exhibition and sale by the Randwick Art Society at 33 St Pauls Street, open from 6pm to 9pm, with accompanying music from the Lurline Chamber Orchestra Trio from 7pm.
It’s a great opportunity to introduce children to different musical styles and cultural traditions while enjoying a relaxed evening together.
Thursday 29 October – Muertas Finale
The final Spot On evening takes place on Thursday 29 October with a Muertas-themed celebration.
The evening’s announced entertainment includes resident DJ SVGRTFX and a performance by Krystal Rivvers from 6pm to 7pm.
Further performances and activities are still to be confirmed by Randwick City Council.
With Halloween just around the corner, it’s another opportunity to get the family out for an evening of local entertainment before the festival wraps up for 2026.
Make It a Family Dinner Night
One of the best things about Spot On is that you can combine the entertainment with dinner at one of The Spot’s many restaurants.
Instead of the usual Thursday evening routine, why not take the kids out for an early meal, enjoy some live music and wander through the festival atmosphere?
It’s also a lovely way to support local businesses while spending quality time together as a family.
