Upgraded playground opens to public in Randwick’s Alison Park

Randwick City Council has reopened the popular Alison Park Playground, unveiling an exciting, colourful and novel new playground for children of all ages and abilities. “We’re so excited to open this beautiful new playground to the public. It’s brighter, safer, more engaging and inclusive for children of all ages and abilities. The Spot Festival, the biggest free outdoor festival in Sydney’s eastern suburbs

Thousands of Sydneysiders are expected to attend the 2024 Spot Festival in Randwick, which will mark the end of a week-long celebration of cultural diversity. The Spot Festival, which will be on Sunday 24 March, the last day of Harmony Week, will bring together people from different backgrounds across Sydney for an afternoon of food, live music, and cultural performances. New urban plaza opens in the heart of Randwick

An outdoor plaza on Waratah Avenue in Randwick opened this week, providing community members with a new leisure and recreation space. The plaza, situated off Belmore Road in the heart of Randwick, features terraced seating, tables, new trees and garden beds, and accessible pathways for prams and wheelchairs. The 3-Councils of Waverley, Woollahra and Randwick operate an electric vehicle (EV) charging network of 25 chargers, which continues to expand as the uptake of EVs in the east doubles year on year. Randwick council rejects proposed housing reforms

Randwick expresses ‘serious apprehensions’ about State Government top-down approach to housing reform NSW Government housing reforms that would deliver an estimated 20,000 new homes in Randwick City over the next 20 years have been strongly rejected by Randwick Council in a submission endorsed by Councillors at their meeting on Tuesday 27 February 2024. The low and mid-rise reforms would see up to 6-storey (21m) development permitted within 800m of light rail stations or town centres with a supermarket.
