The Spot in Randwick is coming alive again this spring, with Spot On returning for six Thursday evenings of outdoor dining, live music, entertainment and family-friendly fun.
Running every Thursday from 24 September to 29 October 2026, Spot On transforms the popular Randwick dining precinct into a lively street festival, giving local families a great reason to head out for dinner and enjoy an evening of free entertainment.
Partly funded through the NSW Government Open Streets Program, the six-week series celebrates The Spot’s restaurants and local businesses while creating more space for people to eat, meet and enjoy the neighbourhood.
Six Thursday Nights at The Spot
Each Thursday brings a different theme, entertainment and performances, so you can visit once – or make it a regular Thursday night family outing.
The 2026 themes are:
Thursday 24 September – Opening Night
Spot On kicks off with live music, art and roving entertainment. Resident DJ Sofii McKenzie will be joined by Will Baker from 6pm, Locos from 7pm and Kelaidoscope Dream from 8pm.
There will also be roving performers, acrobats and stilt walkers, while poet Miles Merrill will create personalised poems inspired by visitors’ memories, feelings or ideas.
The temporary exhibition space at 33 St Pauls Street will feature the film WINHANGANHA by Wiradjuri artist, poet and filmmaker Jazz Money.
Thursday 1 October – Irishtown Craic ☘️
Get ready for an Irish-inspired evening featuring the Blackwater Irish Band from 6pm, Dwyer Whelan Dance School at 7pm and Celtic Tones from 7pm to 9pm, along with resident DJ Sofii McKenzie.
Thursday 8 October – Sideshow Circus 🎪
The Spot takes on a circus atmosphere for the third week of the festival. The currently announced program includes the Gagliardies Show from 7pm to 7.45pm and Julie Accordion from 8pm to 9pm, with more entertainment still to be announced.
Thursday 15 October – Spot Noir 🎷
A night with a jazzier feel featuring Yasmina Sadiki from 6pm, Heart Beats from 7pm and the Arthur Washington Quintet from 8pm, plus the resident DJ.
Thursday 22 October – Mediterranean 🌊
The Spot turns Mediterranean for the evening, with the full entertainment program still to be announced.
Thursday 29 October – Muertas 💀
Spot On finishes its six-week run with a colourful Muertas-themed evening. Krystal Rivvers is scheduled to perform from 6pm, with further acts still to be announced.
Dinner and a Street Festival
One of the things we love about Spot On is that you don’t necessarily need to plan a whole night around it.
Head to The Spot for dinner at one of the precinct’s restaurants or cafés, catch some live entertainment and wander through the activated streets with the kids.
With different themes every Thursday, families can come back throughout spring and experience something different each week.

Programs are continuing to be announced, so it’s worth checking the Randwick City Council website before heading out.
Getting to Spot On
There will be temporary road closures, parking restrictions and bus diversions around The Spot each Thursday during the festival.
Event clearways will operate from 2.30pm to 11pm, while sections of St Pauls Street and Nancye Street will be closed from 3.30pm to 11pm each Thursday.
The temporary closures also affect some 373 and 373X bus stops, although services remain available from stops on Perouse Road.
Randwick City Council is encouraging visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible.
