The Drying Green Park launch, Zetland

Join us for the official opening of this new park. There’ll be music, free bike tune-ups, coffee and gelato. The Drying Green takes its name from the site’s industrial past. Wool washing was one of the first industries in Green Square and fleeces were spread across grass in the area to dry. This area of natural wetlands was used by Gadigal people for thousands of generations. Our reimagined wetlands run with harvested stormwater cleansed by streaming through plants. Coral Sea Park Inclusive playspace now open for everyone to play

A new inclusive playspace in Maroubra’s Coral Sea Park will be opened by the Hon Anthony Roberts, Minister for Planning and Homes and Mayor Dylan Parker on Wednesday 3 August. Council received $200,000 funding from the NSW Government’s Everybody Can Play program to upgrade the existing playground and create a world class playspace that has been designed to include everyone in the community.
