Monday’s Local Mum, Caroline Bilkey

Hi Mums, my name is Caroline. I am originally from New Zealand but have now lived half of my life abroad, settling finally in the beautiful Eastern Suburbs of Sydney 6 years ago. I live in Double Bay with my husband and my 1 year old daughter. As well as our two Labrador’s and two Ragdoll cats. I own and founded Mummy’s Whispers, an agency specialising in postnatal and newborn care. This came after years and years of travelling the world as a Maternity Nurse looking after newborns within homes and many jobs 24 hours / 6 days a week….

Hey! I’m Jordan, mum to three precious girls. Bodhi is 6, Brixie is 3 and Blaize is 20 months. My husband is Brandon and we moved to Botany a couple years ago, prior to this we lived in Matraville. I work as a primary teacher and have my own little business called Blossom’s Play. Blossom’s Play is a sensory play business where I provide pop-up events for parents and carers to bring their little ones to, to get messy and not have to worry about the clean-up. I also provide sensory parties, incursions and events. I’d love to eventually provide…

Monday’s Local Mum, Jenny Vernon

Hi – I’m Jenny Vernon. It is lovely to be asked to share some words with Eastern suburbs Mums. I am a Mum to Jessica, and married to Rick and after my priorities of spending time with family, friends and work – I find there is nothing more satisfying than volunteering at my favourite charity Dress For Success.  I first became aware of this organisation dedicated to helping  “empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life” through becoming a regular customer…

Monday’s Local Mum, Jenny Theodore

Hi, I’m Jenny! I’m originally from Ireland but have lived in Sydney for 12 years. My husband and I have 2 sons, Christian who recently turned 4 (going on 14!) and my stepson Oli who is 17 and in the throes of HSC year. I’m a chartered accountant and registered tax agent. I run my own business, Eire Consulting, offering accounting & tax services for small businesses and individuals. I often hear from clients that they find accountants intimidating, and they never want to ask questions at the risk of sounding “stupid”. Eire Consulting offers quite the opposite – we…

Monday’s Local Mum, Mandy-Lee Adno

Hi, I’m Mandy, and have been living in the Eastern Suburbs since 2007 when we first immigrated to Sydney. I arrived in Sydney with my husband Gary, 32 weeks pregnant with our first little girl. Since 2007, our little family has grown into a family of 4 beautiful children and are still lucky enough to call the Eastern Suburbs our home.  I am a Qualified Speech Pathologist and chose to focus my skills in Paediatric Feeding. After qualifying as a speech pathologist, I furthered my studies in Paediatric Feeding at Manchester University in the UK and since then have continued…

Monday’s Local Mum, Natalie Weiss

My journey as a Mum has been life changing. I always knew I wanted to be a Mother, but never knew how it would impact me. I am so grateful that I get to teach my daughter all about our world and how to be the best version of herself. I love being a Mum, Wife, Baby and Toddler Sleep Consultant, Early Childhood Teacher and Circle of Security Parenting Coach. All of these things make up who I am as a person.  I began my Sleep Consultant journey the moment my daughter was born! She was an awful sleeper. I was seriously…

Monday’s Local Mum, Alli Butler

Hi there! I live in Bondi and I’m a mum to my 10 year old daughter and have been a step-mum to my husband’s oldest daughter since she was 4 year old, but she is all grown up now at 19 years old. Time flies!  I am also a comedian and a singer-songwriter. I originally grew up on a farm near a small town in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia, called Bruce Rock, and it couldn’t be more different to Bondi! I worked for many years as a registered nurse before entering the arts world, and then juggled both for…
