Newmarket Randwick will be transformed into a ‘dawn to dusk’ spectacle of wellness, florals, live music, wine tasting and glowing light installations as they launch the first Newmarket Fair, running from Thursday 28th April to Sunday 1st May.

The four-day festivities will give locals of all ages a chance to explore and taste all that Newmarket and its food and beverage retailers have to offer, along with an exciting list of activities and pop-up market stalls in support of local and small businesses.

Early birds can enjoy free 45-minute yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday morning, hosted by Yogamigos. Stretch, unwind and inhale the fresh air in one of 3 morning sessions, kicking off at 7am, 8am and 9am. All participants will receive a free coffee voucher for Cali Press or Cafe Mackenzie for a complimentary caffeine buzz before embarking on a busy weekend full of activities.

From 10am to 1pm, passersby can pick up a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers, or just stop to smell the roses, at a pop-up flower stall hosted by local florist, Flower Forum Randwick. The pop-up flower stall will be accompanied by live music from local acoustic artists, which attendees can enjoy while playing a range of free, interactive lawn games.

Families and those with little ones are invited to soak in the festivities and peruse the ample selection of food retailers and special offers, with free face painting from 1pm to 4pm hosted by Face Painting with Ana. The treats don’t stop there! Newmarket will also be dishing out free Gelato Messina vouchers to sweeten the deal.

As dawn turns to dusk, a stunning light installation will light up the precinct, complete with a glow in the dark floor activation, which visitors can admire while exploring the various dining offers available from restaurants including RaRa Ramen, Gelato Messina, Dumplings & Beer, Sella Vinoteca,  Baccomatto Osteria, and Ribs & Burgers.

Newmarket Randwick’s resident wine experts, Sella Vinoteca, along with Italian wine importer, Chent’annos, will be hosting wine tastings on Saturday 30th April. Wine lovers will be able to indulge in an impressive range of unique and sustainable, artisan wines, imported directly from winemakers in Italy from 1pm-3pm and 4pm-7pm.

On Sunday 1st May, White Bay Beer Co. will be quenching thirsts with beer tastings from 4pm-7pm. Founded in late 2019, White Bay Beer Co. transformed a dilapidated steel works on Rozelle’s waterfront into a beloved local brewery, specialising in a refreshing range of craft lager, pale ales and limited-edition brews, such as the watermelon and coriander ‘Sour Goose’.

Newmarket Fair will kick off with live music and light installations from Thursday 28th April, with
activities taking place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 1st May.
