Monday’s Local mum, Olivia Pigeot

Hi I’m Olivia! I’m a local mama in North Bondi. I’m also a NIDA Graduate (Bachelor of Dramatic Art 1997) and have been a professional actress for over 30 years, with a career in film, TV, theatre and voice over. Since becoming a mum I’ve realised the importance of including Drama into our kids education. Drama is great for so many reasons! Drama helps to nurture creativity, confidence, develop social skills, connection, collaboration and empathy (by walking in another’s shoes) – but most of all, it’s super fun! Noticing a gap in primary aged education, Bondi Kids Drama was birthed…

Monday’s Local Mum, Georgie Russell

Hi, I’m Georgie! I’m a remedial massage therapist and founder of the Deep Unwind, a boutique remedial massage practice in Woollahra. I am also the mother of two teenagers. We regularly escape Sydney to go camping down the South Coast — I love being in nature with my children. I am also a meditator, swimmer and weightlifter. Health and wellness and the mind-body connection is a lifelong obsession. I came to massage over 14 years ago when my kids were little. In my twenties I worked as a pastry chef in some of Sydney’s most demanding, stressful kitchens (such as Neil Perry’s Rockpool) and opened my own cafe…

Monday’s local mum, Tara Scully-Power

Hi, my name is Tara Scully-Power and I am a mum to three boys under 4. The boys keep me pretty busy, but in my spare time I work on our two family businesses: ThreadX and Bright Build Constructions.  I have recently opened a mid-high end consignment boutique in Bellevue Hill called ThreadX. Monday’s local mum, Karen Freyer

Hi my name is Karen Freyer. I’m running as the Independent candidate for the electorate of Vaucluse in the upcoming State election on March 25 but I’m not a politician. I’m running as I’m concerned my children might not have the same opportunities I’ve had, because our environment and economy risk being blighted by the effects of human-induced climate change.  I feel I can no longer look away from the incipient disaster of rising sea levels, warming of the land and species extinction. I am also concerned about the loss of integrity and transparency in our government, and about persisting…
