Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east?
I currently live in Bondi and I have lived in the east for four years with my husband Rob.
Three words that describe what it’s like to live in the eastern suburbs?
Fun, safe and exciting!
How many children?
I have a very active son Jack (2) and we are expecting our second in two weeks.
Favourite Park:
I love Queens Park because it’s dog friendly and I can take my dog Barkley and our son Jack to wear them both out!
Favourite Beach:
Has to be Bondi, because my son loves the rock pool so much. He is always wanting to chase the crabs and the starfish.
Favourite kid friendly cafe:
Blackwood, Bondi is a wonderful cafe because the owners are super friendly and accommodating. There is also a patch of grass where the kids can play while parents can eat in peace!
Favourite Coffee Spot:
Skittle Lane – they are the only coffee connoisseurs in Bondi and their coffee is a staple!
Favourite date night place:
Raw Bar in Bondi, because they provide an intimate dining experience with incredible seafood! A must visit.
Where in the east have you yet to explore and would like to ?
I would love to spend more time around Parsley Bay and Camp Cove. It’s where my husband grew up and I would love to hang out more about where he went to as a child.
What would you like to see improve in the eastern suburbs?
I would love to see a really cool indoor play centre with some super healthy food choices for kids.
Favourite Local Shop:
I love Tuchuzy in Bondi- great amazing clothing options for women.
Favourite wet weather location:
Westfield Bondi Junction – a sneaky chance to shop and stay dry!
Favourite Local family Weekend Activity?
We love going to Bondi Beach as a family. We always go first thing to beat the crowds and the heat. My son Jack is obsessed with the water.
Work or SAHM?
I am super passionate about my business Markot. As we are a family oriented business, I bring my son and my dog into our business each day so we can show him what we are building as a family.
Motherly advice?
I think it’s really important that we as mother’s remember to take care of ourselves. We know we always put our kids first so it’s important to take time to make sure we are healthy and mentally ok to tackle motherhood on a daily basis.
