The Randwick Council is excited to be hosting a special community celebration to reopen the newly renovated Alison Park Playground and the whole community is invited! Alison Park playground has been upgraded to create a new playspace which caters for children of all ages and abilities. Newly renovated Matraville Youth and Cultural Hall now open

Matraville Youth & Cultural Hall is located on the corner of Knowles & Pozieres Avenue, adjacent to a large open space reserve. The large hall offers space for a range of activities such as dance or yoga classes, forums, meetings, birthday parties and workshops. New pocket park at busy Randwick intersection opens to public

A new park at the intersection of Clovelly and Carrington roads is now open, providing the community in Randwick with a unique outdoor space to rest and gather. The pocket park features timber seats with sculptural structures on which vines will grow and cover to provide shade, new plants, and a multi-purpose deck. Four timed parking spaces on Clovelly Road, adjacent to the park, have also been added to ensure easy access to local businesses. The pocket park replaces a median island and slip lane. Council endorses Malabar site for new bike park

Randwick City’s first dedicated bike park catering for mountain bikes, BMX and stunt bikes as well as scooters will be built in Cromwell Park North in Malabar. Randwick Councillors considered three short-listed sites at their 30 April 2024 Council Meeting including a Matraville site on Botany Rd and a Chifley site in the Anzac Parade median strip. Thousands of Sydneysiders are expected to attend the 2024 Spot Festival in Randwick, which will mark the end of a week-long celebration of cultural diversity. The 3-Councils of Waverley, Woollahra and Randwick operate an electric vehicle (EV) charging network of 25 chargers, which continues to expand as the uptake of EVs in the east doubles year on year.
