This week meet mum of two, Samantha Oakley.
Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east:
Almost 28 years in total i had a short stint on the central coast as a teen but have predominately been a Eastern Suburbs girl.
How many children:
2 girls – Isabella is 2 and a half years old and Elizabeth is 10 months
Favourite Park:
Booralee Park at Botany has become my favourite since having children, it isn’t fenced but it has something for every age and a bbq area.
Favourite Beach:
Maroubra beach because most days it’s fairly empty and it has rock pools, Mahon pool, plenty of cafes and parking is free
Favourite kid friendly cafe:
I tend to go to Southpoint Shopping Centre’s Mr Espresso as the shopping centre has lots of things for the kids to do and lots of space for them to play.
Favourite Coffee Spot:
Sapori di Sardegna in Waverley has great coffee, amazing food and the owners are a lovely couple who have and love kids
Favourite date night place:
Bill and Toni’s in Darlinghurst for the food and nostalgic reasons
Favourite Mother’s Group Location:
Heffron Park playground and bike track is great for the kids to play and mums to just kick back, there is no shop there so you need to pack some snacks for a picnic.
Favourite wet weather location:
Little Dynamos at Alexandria or Monkey Mania at the Entertainment Quarter because the kids don’t get bored and i can sit and have a coffee
Favourite local shop:
Jeanswest at Westfield Eastgardens is where is go to spoil myself as they are constantly updating there range and have plenty of sales and mummy friendly clothes.

Motherly advice :
Children need routine, it may be hard at times but if you put in the hard work now it will pay off in the long run. Also don’t be afraid to ask for help when it is getting too much, you are only human so take some time for yourself to regroup so you can continue being an amazing mother to your gorgeous little ones.
