Looking for a midweek moment of peace and connection — without spending a cent? Step onto Stargazer Lawn at Barangaroo Reserve every Wednesday at 12pm during Barangaroo You Wellness Month and discover a truly unique and free wellness experience: Yoga on Country.
Blending ancient First Nations wisdom with modern wellness techniques, Yoga on Country is more than just a class — it’s a deeply enriching journey that nurtures your body, mind, and spirit.
Led by the remarkable Aunty Jacqui Jarrett, a proud Dharawal and Gumbaynggirr woman, these sessions invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — not just with yourself, but with Country.
Aunty Jacqui is a respected elder and traditional owner of the Sydney Basin, and her practice, Nura Yoga, is woven with her cultural heritage, responsibilities, and deep reverence for the land. Practicing with her is a rare opportunity to experience yoga as a spiritual and cultural pathway — one that’s been practised long before it was found in studio spaces.
What to Expect
These 60-minute sessions are welcoming to all levels — from total beginners to seasoned yogis — and are designed to be a space of openness, curiosity, and community.
