Woollahra Council has three parks which offer fitness equipment, providing an opportunity to exercise and get fit outdoors. Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or just interested in exercising socially, residents of all ages can enjoy the outdoor fitness equipment.

The exercise equipment is different in each park, ranging from simple static equipment ideal for chin-ups, sit-ups and step-ups, to new dynamic equipment featuring an Aerobic Walker, Body Twist and Hand Bike.

Rushcutters Bay Park (New Beach Road, Rushcutters Bay)

Located at the north western corner of the park near the pathway leading to Reg Bartley Oval this equipment is highly utilised by the community. It consists of older style static equipment great for informal training including stretching, chin-ups, step-ups and sit-ups. The area has information boards that can assist you in your training.

Yarranabbe Park (New Beach Road, Darling Point)

Located in the middle section of Yarranabbe Park adjacent to the harbourside pathway this fitness station is characterised by a series of static equipment with a variety of exercise elements. There are signs describing and illustrating how to utilise the equipment safely and effectively.

Christison Park

Located along the northern boundary of Christison Park there are 5 separate fitness stations which offers a unique exercise trail and a new interactive exercise station incorporating cardio and movable equipment. All equipment is accompanied by signage.

The fitness station in the north-east corner of Christison park has recently received an upgrade.

This new outdoor gym provides the opportunity to enjoy dynamic exercise equipment including an an Aerobic Walker, Body Twist, Hand Bike and Shoulder Press with the addition of rubber surfacing to make working out a pleasure. A new drinking fountain with a dog bowl has also been installed as well as an asphalt pathway between Old South Head Road and the Coastal Walkway.
