Come and join for a free kids’ painting session, Sunday 16 July 2023 from 11am to 2pm and celebrate Bastille Day in style!
Unleash your inner da Vinci at the La Perouse Museum this Bastille Day weekend. Take part in a free drop-in painting session for kids.
This drop-in session is run by artist Niki Koeppl, and kids from 5 years and up are welcome to pick up a brush and paint their masterpiece on the law in front of the La Perouse Museum. There’ll be everything from paper plates to cut-out Eiffel Towers to decorate, so be sure to put on your beret and drop in when you visit the Museum.
If the weather’s bad, the painting session will be moved onto the veranda or to the rear courtyard undercover. Please remember to wear comfy clothing you don’t mind getting paint and glitter on!
For ages 5 and over, and if you’re a big kid at heart feel free to come and join in. No tickets required, just drop in between 11am and 2pm.
Niki Koeppl is a Sydney based Australian Artist, Fine Arts Teacher, Art Materials Sales Consultant and Product Demonstrator, Disability Support Teacher and Freelancer. Niki has acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Cert III in Multimedia. She currently runs a small business, NK ART, from her Art Studio in Matraville, providing regular adult art classes, workshops and tutorial support within the local community.
Conditions of booking:
Our staff are trained in first aid, have working with children checks, and run activities that are risk-assessed. We ask that participants follow all instructions relating to safety. Randwick City Council staff may on occasion take recordings of participants during activities (including photographs, videos and voice recordings). If you DO NOT wish for the participant’s recording to be used according to these conditions, please indicate this during the booking process.
