This July, Hay St Market at Paddy’s, located within Market City, presents its first-ever Bastille Day festival, transforming the city’s newest food destination into a bustling French marché. From Wednesday 9-Sunday 20 July, Hay St Market will come to life with a French food pop-up, cheese table, DJ’s, family-friendly activities and more. Guests will be transported to the avenues of Paris and the kitchens of Provence – all without leaving Sydney. Bastille Day Civic Ceremony 2024

Join with the local community for the annual Bastille Day Civic ceremony at the Lapérouse Monument as we commemorate the Storming of the Bastille. Join us for a civic ceremony on Sunday 14 July at 10:00am at the La Perouse Headland at the Lapérouse Monument featuring speeches, wreath laying and firing of canons. The canons will fire at approximately 10:30am. Please note there will be a limited number of seats provided for invited dignitaries, with standing room only available for the public. Come and join for a free kids’ painting session, Sunday 16 July 2023 from 11am to 2pm and celebrate Bastille Day in style!
