Join in a powerful celebration of Aboriginal culture, ceremony and community as the Koojay Corroboree returns to the sands of Coogee Beach on Friday 30 May 2025, from 10am to 2pm.

Hosted by Randwick City Council in partnership with the La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council, this year’s event marks a special milestone – the 10th anniversary of the Koojay Corroboree. To honour a decade of cultural connection and community engagement, an extended program of performances and activities has been planned.

Each year, the Koojay Corroboree brings Coogee Beach to life with traditional and contemporary Aboriginal dance, storytelling and song – sharing the beauty and strength of Australia’s First Nations cultures. Through dance and movement, the event offers a moving connection to the Dreaming and a deeper understanding of Aboriginal heritage.

Held during National Reconciliation Week, the Corroboree invites families, schools, and community members to come together, learn from one another and reflect on our shared histories. It’s a time to celebrate progress and to consider the steps we can all take in building respectful relationships and a united future.

This year’s Reconciliation Week theme, “Bridging Now to Next,” calls on all Australians to recognise the importance of the past while stepping forward together – creating a future strengthened by unity, truth-telling and cultural pride.

Whether you’ve attended before or this is your first Corroboree, come and be part of a truly meaningful and memorable day by the sea. Everyone is welcome.
