The Little Food Market

Sydney foodies, come hungry! The Little Food Market is taking over Carriageworks this August, bringing together more than 180 producers for a huge weekend of tasting, grazing, sipping and shopping.

Running from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August, the three-day event will transform Carriageworks into a foodie playground filled with everything from cool-climate wines and artisan cheeses to woodfired pizza, souvlaki and onigiri.

Whether you’re planning a catch-up with friends, looking for something different to do this weekend or simply love discovering great food, there’ll be plenty to taste.

More Than 180 Producers Under One Roof

Wine lovers can sample drops from some of Australia’s favourite wine regions, including Orange, the Barossa and McLaren Vale, while cheese fans can seek out artisan producers including Second Mouse and Vannella.

Then there’s the Feast precinct, where you can settle in for something more substantial.

Expect woodfired pizza from Lucio Pizzeria, souvlaki from Olympic Meats and onigiri from Mogu Mogu, alongside plenty of other delicious discoveries.

And with everything happening under the one roof at Carriageworks, you can easily turn your visit into a leisurely few hours of eating, drinking and browsing.

Sweet Treats and Chef Sessions

There are some big names joining the weekend too, with chef sessions featuring Christopher Thé and George Calombaris, including complimentary tastings.

Dessert lovers will particularly want to keep an eye out for Christopher Thé, who will be unveiling his Strawberry Watermelon Cake 2.0. Complimentary tastings will be available at every session, so make sure you leave room for something sweet.

ESM Tip

Wear something comfortable and bring a big tote bag. Between all the tastings, grazing and goodies available to take home, there’s a good chance you’ll leave Carriageworks carrying considerably more than you arrived with!

It’s also worth booking your tickets online before you go, with advance tickets cheaper than purchasing entry at the door.
