Celebrating mums who volunteer in the eastern suburbs

It’s National Volunteering Week, which is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and recognises the vital support that millions of volunteers provide to their communities. Here in the Eastern Suburbs, there is an inspiring team of mums who volunteer their time to run Bondi Beach Playgroups, a not-for-profit community playgroup operating at 3 venues in the Waverley Council area. Monday’s Local mum, Olivia Pigeot

Hi I’m Olivia! I’m a local mama in North Bondi. I’m also a NIDA Graduate (Bachelor of Dramatic Art 1997) and have been a professional actress for over 30 years, with a career in film, TV, theatre and voice over. Drama helps to nurture creativity, confidence, develop social skills, connection, collaboration and empathy (by walking in another’s shoes) – but most of all, it’s super fun! Noticing a gap in primary aged education, Bondi Kids Drama was birthed…
