As a parent, getting a good night’s sleep can be difficult, but it plays an important role in overall wellbeing, focus and daily functioning. If sleep has become a challenge, this upcoming seminar at Waverley Library offers a practical way to better understand what works.
Waverley Library is hosting “Insomnia – What Works? The Basics of Building Good Sleep,” a free session designed to explain how sleep works and what strategies are effective long term.
What to Expect
Taking place on Thursday 16 April from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, this one-hour seminar will explore the science and psychology behind insomnia in a clear and practical way.
Sleep specialist Rosemary Clancy will cover:
-
What insomnia is and why it occurs
-
Common responses to poor sleep that can be counterproductive
-
Evidence-based treatments that support long-term improvement
-
How to move away from controlling sleep and build more natural sleep patterns
The session focuses on practical, research-backed information rather than quick fixes.
