When “busy” stops explaining it properly
Modern motherhood gets called busy, but that word is starting to feel useless. What it actually looks like is a constant internal tab system that never closes. Even when you are sitting still, nothing is fully switched off in your head. Someone needs shoes. That email hasn’t been replied to. School notice came through. Work deadline shifted. Dinner is half planned while you are still finishing lunch. Then something else lands and replaces the last thing. None of it is dramatic on its own. That is the point.
