About 20 years ago we remember joining the long queue on Oxford St, Paddington for the latest go-to pizza place called Arthur’s Pizza. Fast forward and Arthur’s is still going strong and has expanded with a new location in Maroubra Beach. Our family of five popped in for a casual Friday night dinner to experience the doughy goodness.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and patient with the demanding needs of feeding three children under five within thirty minutes. Providing colouring in pencils and paper upon seating always helps with dinner distractions – tick Arthur!
The pizza range is huge, varying from standard Meat Lovers and Hawaiian to more unique choices such as Sassari (Lamb Fillets, Feta, Sweet Potato and Mint) and Mantova (Ham, Pumpkin, Chilli and Parmesan). Sizing is ideal for the kiddies with a special Kids sizing and Medium, Large or Family choices for everyone else. The kiddies devoured theirs in ten minutes flat in silence and responded with a simple ‘yummy’ in review.
And if you’re after a great family takeaway special – all medium pizzas are $12 (usually $16) if you order before 7pm – EVERYDAY of the week!
For those not wanting the pizza – there is Salad, Pasta and Risotto menu options.
And if you can fit it in dessert options include Nutella pizza, gelato, sorbet or ice cream.
Gluten free and vegan pizza options are also available.
If you want to go to an Arthur’s sans children the Randwick location has teamed up with the Randwick Ritz for a fantastic Movie/Pizza deal for those all important date nights.
VERDICT: Arthur’s is still AMAZING.
