You may have heard and seen images of The Botanica Vaucluse and thought it was only for ladies brunch or date nights – but in fact families and children are more than welcome for their Local Nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
One balmy night we rounded up the kiddies and braved the beautiful setting and were pleasantly surprised.
Set in lush garden surroundings and botanical themed walls, hostess Marie was welcoming and incredibly accommodating for our excited brood.
On these special nights adults can dine on a delicious two-course meal and a glass on wine for $45. We chose the Pan Roast Barramundi and the Roast half free range chicken – both were beautifully presented and enriched with farm to fork flavour. In fact all produce is Australian home grown and sourced from farms in Jamberoo Valley.
The kid’s menu is fantastic with a choice of four meals (all our kids chose fish and chips) along with a drink and dessert for just $15. When usual pub meals cost up to $12 this is quality food for those developing little tastbuds. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their main meals and devoured the dessert. Activity booklets are also provided so you can actually sit back, relax and enjoy that vino!
If the kids get restless that can explore the garden outside within safe viewing distance and the setting is perfect during the warmer months. Parking is also readily available in the surrounding streets.
VERDICT: Fantastic fancy dining for all ages
