Australian cabaret chanteuse and musical theatre star Queenie van de Zandt, renowned for her artful storytelling and raw, emotive vocals, takes us on a sonic journey in BLUE, through the songs, stories and art of this musical legend. Affectionately reinterpreting Mitchell’s music, Queenie reveals the intimate stories behind Joni’s haunting songs such as A Case of You, River and Little Green from her iconic album, BLUE (one of Rolling Stone’s greatest albums of all time), as well as celebrating her greatest hits such as Big Yellow Taxi and Both Sides Now.

Since 2017, BLUE: The Songs of Joni Mitchell has been enchanting audiences across Australia and internationally, garnering rave reviews everywhere it goes. Queenie van de Zandt is one of Australia’s leading ladies of musical theatre and cabaret. She has the unique ability in to make people feel deeply and to awaken laughter, empathy and awareness in equal measure. She’s renowned for her ability to seamlessly transition between various genres of entertainment including musical theatre, plays, cabaret, film, television, comedy, writing and arts education, setting her apart as a truly exceptional performer.
