Monday’s Local mum, Olivia Pigeot

Hi I’m Olivia! I’m a local mama in North Bondi. I’m also a NIDA Graduate (Bachelor of Dramatic Art 1997) and have been a professional actress for over 30 years, with a career in film, TV, theatre and voice over. Since becoming a mum I’ve realised the importance of including Drama into our kids education. Drama is great for so many reasons! Drama helps to nurture creativity, confidence, develop social skills, connection, collaboration and empathy (by walking in another’s shoes) – but most of all, it’s super fun! Noticing a gap in primary aged education, Bondi Kids Drama was birthed…

Widening Little Bay beach stairs

Weekday access to Little Bay Beach will be restricted from early May 2023 for up to three months as work commences to widen the timber staircase used to access the beach. Currently, Little Bay Beach can only be formally accessed via a single set of steep, narrow timber stairs. The narrow stairs make access difficult, particularly in summer when thousands of beach goers visit the beach daily carrying beach gear, eskies, fishing rods and scuba gear. Contractors working for Council will widen the timber staircase with new Blackbutt timber treads and use existing footings to create a wider staircase, making…
