Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east:

Mads has lived in Sydney’s East since she was 7 years old, coming from Perth. She went to Kambala school and met Bec there who grew up in Paddington. Bec
and Mads have been friends since senior school.

How many children:

Mads has 2 little girls, 7 and 9 years. Bec has 3 children, 11, 9 and 6 years.

Favourite Park:

Mads favourite park is Parsley Bay in Vaucluse, it is safe for children and shaded. You feel you are a million miles away from cosmopolitan Sydney.

Bec’s is Rushcutters Bay Park. Terrace living doesn’t give you much outdoor space so Rushcutters Bay Park is like her back yard.

Favourite Beach:

Mads is Parsley Bay at the net. It isn’t really a beach but a beautiful swimming place with no crowds and no sand. But she always check the tides, as much
better at high tide.

Bec’s is Neilsen Park as she has been going there since she was a child and now she takes her 3 kids there. It is one of the most child friendly beaches
and so beautiful.

Favourite kid friendly cafe:

Mads is Mangia E Bevi in Rose Bay, the most delicious Italian food. The kids love the pasta and would you believe it the muscles.

Bec is Eat Thai in 5 Ways Paddington because the staff are so gorgeous with the children and the food is a healthy option for both adults and kids.

Favourite Coffee Spot:

Mads doesn’t drink coffee but likes an almond milk chai at “The Trail” at Vaucluse shops.

Bec likes Alimentari in Paddington because its the best coffee in Sydney and a locals hang out.

Favourite date night place:

Mads is Icebergs at Bondi, for a real treat. Amazing food, atmosphere and the most sensational view.

Bec is Bar 10, William St Paddington because it dark and moody with fabulous Italian food and wine, plus I can walk there.

If you could have a day alone in the eastern suburbs what would you do for yourself?

We both like the same thing.

We would sleep in.

Do yoga at Prana Space in Rose Bay.

Have infrared sauna at Healthspace at Bondi Junction.

Eat a healthy meal at Earth to Table in Bondi Junction and then spend the rest of the day swimming at Parsley Bay at the net. Followed by a massage and
a healing at Body Practice at North Rose Bay.

Favourite Local Shop:

Mads likes to shop fashion at A Love Story at Vaucluse shops, Suzanna who runs it has amazing eclectic taste.
Also “For Artist Only” in Rose Bay for the best of Australian designers.

Bec likes Love Duck at 5 Ways in Paddington because it run by another local mum and I could wear everything in the
store.

Favourite wet weather location:

Mads likes taking the girls to the movies at Entertainment Quarter.

Bec loves the Cook and Phillip pool with the kids.

Work or SAHM:

Work. We run the Cambridge Markets, a bi-annual stylish and family friendly market in Vaucluse Public School.
The next one is our big Christmas market, on this Sunday 27th November 2016.

Motherly advice :

Mads advice is to love and to be present, your attention is the most valuable thing.

Bec’s advice is the word discipline means to teach not punish and help our kids to help themselves (not to do it for them).
