Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east?
Basically all my life, I have moved from Dover Heights to Vaucluse to Woollahra – I love the area.
How many children:
2 Children, Pixie (6) and Hunter (4).
Favourite Park:
Centennial Park is magic, each time we visit we find new areas to explore.
Favourite Beach:
I love Bondi Beach, as it’s a short stroll from our home we spend most weekends there as a family.
Favourite kid friendly café:
Indigo in Double Bay is a great spot for breakfast – we frequent it most weekends. Also, Harry’s in Bondi Beach is a family fav.
Favourite kid-friendly skincare product:
DU’IT kids bath and body is a range I have used since the kids were young, it’s free of nasties and well-priced
given how much we go through of it!
Favourite Coffee Spot:
Sonoma in Bondi on Gould Street followed by a browse in the shops!
Favourite date night place:
I am OBSESSED with Olio in Kensington Street, the Italian food is by far the best I have had in Sydney. For a more casual night Oli and I head to Upper
East Side in Bondi Beach – the cocktails are amazing, and the food is shared / tapas style which is great.
Favourite Local Day Out Activity:
Paddington Markets is always fun with the kids and there is something for everyone, we often make a
morning of it on a Saturday.
Favourite Local Shop:
Harrolds – the edit of international brands is amazing, and what you see in store is what’s currently overseas,
unlike many retailers who get it the season after! It is a guilty pleasure.
Favourite wet weather location:
Nubo in Alexandria is a great option for wet weather play for the kids.
Describe an ideal day in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for you?
Saturday breakfast with my family, off to Paddington Markets to peruse the store holders, home to get some work done and an early dinner with the kids!
What area of the east have you yet to explore much but would like to?
Having lived in the east for most of my life and having a case of Ants in my Pants means I have had the opportunity to explore pretty much the area in
its entirety.
Work or SAHM:
SAHM deserve a medal in my eyes, I know by Sunday night I am looking forward to Monday as being at work is easier than wrangling the kids!
Motherly advice:
Parent the way you want and how you get the best outcome, I am so over people thinking one size fits all when it comes to parenting. How many times I have
been told that Hunter shouldn’t have a night nappy at 3, Pixie should have a bottle of milk at night when she was 4 – it’s no one’s business and you
do what’s right for you and your family!
Tell us about your DU’IT Ambassador role and why you took this up:
I have used the DU’IT brand for years on the kids, so it was a natural fit when they asked if I would like to be involved
in an ambassador capacity – it’s a brand that’s great for the whole family AND one that is at a price point that’s affordable without skimping on quality
ingredients.
