Monday’s Local Mum, Aileen Anderson

Hello! I’m Aileen, a local Eastern Suburbs Artist, Primary Teacher and the proud mother of three beautiful children.  I have been teaching in Public Education for over twenty years and have loved working with children and their families. In 2020, I took some time to devote to my family and my artistic adventure evolved to what it is today. I love sunrise walks around our local coastal areas with my husband Greg or my tribe. It has been my daily dose of inspiration for my paintings.  As a mother of three I spend a lot my time driving around the…

Monday’s Local Mum, Chloe Noble

Hi, I’m Chloe, a mother to two and recently certified Hypnobirthing Australia practitioner. In my former life, I worked as a TV producer making ads for TV but since having kids I’ve become a full-time mum and have found a deep passion in the birth space and in particular childbirth education. I have a deep trust in women’s ability to birth and believe that it is instinctive and doesn’t need to be taught, however, I believe that education is empowering and a positive birth experience can set women up for a positive and enriching postpartum period. I’m excited to be…

Last Thursday 7th September, to celebrate International Literacy Day, I was invited by SeeBeyondBorders to be on an author panel to raise awareness of the importance of children’s literacy and raise funds for children in Cambodia. If you’re in a position to donate to…

Monday’s Local Mum, Sophie Morgan

My name is Sophie Morgan and I moved to Bondi in November 1999. I have volunteered at North bondi surf club since 2001. I finished my 10 years of patrol two days before my second child was born! I taught bronze medallion for 8 years, started the weekly beach biathlon, drove the IRB, organised the parties and competed mainly on the surf ski. It was my community and life outside work and before I had children. Then I had to give up my job as export manager at Running Bare as I couldn’t travel when I had a baby so…

Monday’s Local Mum, Jayne Kenwright

Hi everyone, I’m Jayne and I’m a South Coogee local. I’m originally from Liverpool in the UK but Australia has been my home for a while now. This place is truly wonderful for raising kids! I love our local beaches, I love eating (so much!) and I love meeting up with my fellow mum friends! I also love trashy TV…but I don’t get too much time for that hobby with 2 little ones.  A few months back, my job was made redundant. I thought I would take the opportunity for some time out to set up a business that I’ve…
