Meet local mum Emily Soutter — a bubbly travel expert, busy mum of four and proud Eastern Suburbs local who’s all about family, flexibility and creating unforgettable experiences. As manager and part owner of Luxeworld, Emily combines her passion for people with her love of travel, helping families and couples plan seamless holidays tailored to their needs.

After growing up on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, Emily made the move to Matraville three years ago and has fully embraced the coastal lifestyle. Between raising two little ones just 14 months apart, spending time with her older stepchildren and keeping up with her energetic British Bulldog, life is certainly full — but Emily wouldn’t have it any other way.

From favourite local cafes and beaches to family weekend rituals and motherhood advice, Emily shares why she loves calling the Eastern Suburbs home.

Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east?

Where in the east have you yet to explore and would like to go?

Need to explore more of the local rock pools.

Faster transport to the city

Work or SAHM?

I am very fortunate to manage Luxeworld which thankfully comes with a lot of flexibility. Allowing me to fulfil both ambitions of being a mum and creating bespoke itineraries for our clients.

Motherly advice?

Time goes so quick, it’s easy to get caught up in the moment with things that don’t truly matter. Babies are only little for such a short period of time so I often have to remind myself to stay present. It also helps that I get to plan and experience amazing holidays with my babies!
