Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east:
I lived in Bronte the first 10 years of being in Sydney then moved to Coogee followed by Matraville where I live now.
How many children:
My fur baby terrier Rubi.
Favourite Park:
Heffron is a great park to walk Rubi as there is always so much going on.
Favourite Beach:
Bondi Beach a little piece of Europe.
Favourite kid friendly cafe:
Pool cafe in Maroubra is great for kids and fur kids with a top view.
Favourite Coffee Spot:
Mama Mia India in North Bondi has consistently great coffee and owner Jude and her staff are fantastic.
Favourite date night place:
Italian on O’Brien Street lots for the home cooked pasta.
Favourite Local Day Out Activity:
Bike ride to La Perouse and sun bake, followed by a doggy walk at Yarra Bay.
Favourite Local Shop:
Mama Mia in Bondi again for coffee, gifts and tarot card readings. Driftwood homewares is also amazing.
Favourite wet weather location:
You can’t beat a cozy pub in Paddington in wet weather and a roast dinner. I’m an Essex girl at heart.
Describe an ideal day in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for you?
Dog walk with Rubi in the afternoon on the beach and sunset over Bondi with glass of bubbles in hand.
What area of the east have you yet to explore much but would like to?
Coonawarra Beach and the National Park area so close to me but I’ve never had the time to go.
Work or SAH
I took over PHD hair in North Bondi in 2001 when the last salon owner Paddy had to sell due to illness. I’ve had built up a local clientele and jumped at the chance of my own business. I kept the business name the same because sadly Paddy passed and we had become friends and she mentored me through my first year of business. I’ve just given birth to my second PHD hair baby in Little Bay in August.
