It’s ok to ask for help are the words local Bondi business owner Peta Ibbotsen tells me.   The mum of three and owner of famous Bondi eatery
Brown Sugar Bondi is offering free care packages to people in need during the lockdown.

“I know what its like to do it tough and find it hard and difficult to ask for help,” she said.  Brown Sugar located at 166 Curlewis street the past
two weeks has started packing care packages for those in need, anything from fresh food or a hot meal to nappies.

“We are in a position to to help people out so we are doing it, we’ve had incredible support too from loyal customers and our landlord who has been so
supportive during this difficult time for businesses and individuals.

The only way we are going to get through this is if we bond as a community together and help each other out,”said Peta.

“Please come forward during our opening hours, just come up don’t be embarrased or shy, we have the cafe window open to take requests even if you are collecting for a friend or someone who cannot get to our cafe we will help where we can.”

Eastern Suburbs Mums is supporting Brown Sugar’s community care packages, please get in touch if you want us to arrange or have any questions. So far we have had three families coming forward who need an extra hand due to loss of income and work.
