We understand that being a mum isn’t always easy. You may be a new mum struggling to adjust to your new life juggling everything life throws at you, or a mum who’s gone through a recent life change. Perhaps you’re a mum adjusting to your children flying the nest, or you just don’tΒ  feel able to lean on those around you. Whatever your circumstances, YourCoachPlus can support you through this time.Β

YourCoachPlus consists of up to 8 weekly 1-1 sessions with a trained Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Practitioner who will provide you with resources, guidance and support. Together, you’ll set and work towards goals to help youΒ  become a happier and more resilient version of yourself.

Research has found Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to be an incredibly useful tool when working through stress, anxiety and depression. Your coach will also support you holistically and will link you to other local services or groups that may further help your mental health.

With no referral or Medicare requirements and little (if any) wait times, there is no need toΒ  hang in there until you’re at breaking point.

Online sessions can be scheduled around your busy life, with the option of evening sessions if you are busy during the day. Your coach will listen to you and your goals and tailor the sessions accordingly. The YourCoachPlus team come from a variety of backgrounds including Social Work and Counselling and so they can ensure you’re given the best support possible.

Over the years, we have received great feedback from those who have completed our program and noticed a significant difference to their mental health afterwards. One of our recent YourCoachPlus participants said

β€˜I joined this program and found it really great. My mental health never felt β€˜bad’ enough for me to seek formal therapy, but I had my struggles. It was really useful to have someone to talk to. YourCoachPlus encouraged me to reflect on my thoughts and change some of my patterns for the better. I highly recommend it!’

YourCoachPlus has been a great support to mums from all different backgrounds and situations. It is available to everyone living, working or studying in the Central and Eastern Sydney PHN region who is 16+ and not accessing another mental health professional. This means that those around you could also benefit from support, whether that be a friend, parent, child, partner or colleague. Please consider reaching out to those around you if you think they may be going through a tough patch.

The YourCoachPlus team is happy to answer any questions about the program or accessing mental health supports. We encourage anyone who may be interested to submit an enquiry through our website www.pccs.org.au/your-coach-plus/
