This event marks the official opening of the new WIRES facility, a state-of-the-art recovery centre designed to support injured and rescued native animals across Sydney. Located at the heart of the Randwick Sustainability Hub, this space will act as a vital community and conservation resource.
Thanks to funding from the NSW Government, alongside Randwick City Council and WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service), this facility will be a cornerstone of local wildlife care and environmental education.

The beloved Saturday Circle program will run during its usual time from 10 AM to 12 PM, with extended workshops and activities curated specially for this one-day event. It’s a great chance to dive deeper into sustainability, community building, and wildlife protection.
