Looking for the ultimate kids’ school holiday activity in Sydney? The Children’s International Film Festival (CHIFF) 2025 is rolling on through the winter break with a packed program of family-friendly films — and an exciting new addition just in time for the holidays!
Screenings run until 20 July 2025, giving families across the Eastern Suburbs plenty of time to enjoy the magic of the big screen at Ritz Cinemas Randwick.
🌍 Films from Around the World — Just for Kids
CHIFF is a film festival designed exclusively for young audiences. Featuring 25 international films — including 19 Australian premieres — the 2025 lineup brings together heartwarming stories, dazzling animations, and laugh-out-loud adventures for kids aged 3 and up.
There are also curated sessions perfect for tweens and teens, so there’s something for every age group to enjoy.
🧟♀️ New! ‘Night of the Zoopocalypse’ Hits the Big Screen
Brand new to the program is the zombie-tastic animated comedy Night of the Zoopocalypse. This fun and slightly spooky film follows a brave wolf and her oddball team of zoo survivors as they face off against mutant animals after a meteorite crash.
It’s the perfect pick for older kids looking for something a little wild, a little weird — and a whole lot of fun.
✨ Special Events at CHIFF
In addition to the movie magic, CHIFF hosts a range of special events throughout the festival:
-
🎨 Arts and crafts sessions for creative kids
-
🛌 PJ Party Day with treats for all pyjama-wearing guests
-
🖍️ The ever-popular CHIFF colouring competition
Whether it’s your first time or an annual tradition, CHIFF is a must-do activity for families in the Eastern Suburbs this winter.
