The DRLC Splash Park is officially open

It’s here! The DRLC Splash Park officially opened on Sunday, October 8th. The event was graced by the presence of the newly elected Randwick Council Mayor, Philipa Veitch, along with Councillors and esteemed guests. The opening ceremony commenced with a speech from the Mayor, followed by the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque. The day was filled with an array of family-friendly activities, including kids’ entertainment, roving performers, face painting, and more. The Friends of Waverley Cemeteries are not ghoulish individuals who hang out for Halloween. They  are a group of volunteers who enjoy maintaining and promoting the cemeteries. Our members are people who may have an interest in genealogy, social and local history and the preservation of the memories and deeds of notable Australians buried in the cemeteries.
