The Big Design Market Sydney is back for its annual shopping event at Carriageworks from 18-20 September and it’s the ultimate day out for mums and little ones with a dedicated kids creative play space with free activities, plus a whole host of designers creating exquisite kids products.

Some highlights include Sarah Allen, Oobi, Hey Doodle, Little Cotton Ears, Bath Crayons and Ruler Growth Charts. 

Here’s a snapshot of what’s taking place:

  • The Feast: Tuck indulgent Italian fare from Ugo Barrata Bar, artisanal handcrafted pies from Wonder Pies, award winning gluten free baked goods from Wholegreen Bakery, award winning pizza from Lucio Pizzeria or authentic Vietnamese from Bar Pho and satisfy that sweet tooth with irresistible treats from Mamê Cocoa, THICC Cookies, Billy Van Creamy, Cannoleria, Choccy Strawbs and Shortstop Donuts. There’ll be a whole host of premium alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages on offer, plus a wide array of artisanal take home food items available for purchase.
  • Guest Artist: This year’s guest artist is the brilliant Em Hatton whose bold and playful artwork will feature across all campaign art and who will be creating a spectacular, large scale installation exclusive to the event.
  • Extra Perks: There’ll be a Visitor Prize valued at over $1500, premium designer show bags valued at over $150 available to purchase for only $25, free Friday night drinks from Pizzini Wines and a dedicated kids creative play space with free activities designed by guest artist Em Hatton.
