Looking for a free and family-friendly way to spend your Saturday? Randwick City Council’s Amplify Music Programis bringing live music, community spirit and a vibrant atmosphere to streets, beaches and town centres across Randwick City.
Formerly known as Summer Sounds, Amplify showcases talented local musicians performing in some of the area’s most popular outdoor locations. The program runs fortnightly until 27 June 2026, with free performances taking place on Saturdays from 11am–2pm and 6pm–9pm.
A Great Day Out for Families
For mums and families, Amplify offers the perfect excuse to get outdoors and enjoy quality time together without spending a cent. Children can dance, sing and enjoy the lively atmosphere while parents relax with a coffee, browse local shops or enjoy a meal at nearby cafés and restaurants.
Many of the performance locations are close to parks, playgrounds, beaches and family-friendly dining venues, making it easy to turn a live music session into a fun family outing. Whether you’re heading to Coogee Beach, spending the day in Maroubra, exploring The Spot or enjoying the waterfront at La Perouse, there’s plenty to see and do before or after the performances.
The program also gives children the opportunity to experience live music in a relaxed outdoor setting and discover a variety of musical styles performed by talented local artists.

This year, Amplify has expanded to include two additional community spaces:

Supporting Local Musicians and Community
Running from 6 December 2025 to 27 June 2026, Amplify provides valuable professional performance opportunities for musicians while helping create vibrant and welcoming community spaces across Randwick City.
The program encourages residents and visitors to explore local neighbourhoods, support nearby businesses and enjoy free cultural experiences close to home.
Randwick City Council is also inviting musicians interested in future performances and Council events to submit an Expression of Interest through the Randwick Council website.
