
Accredited Swimming Program and Lessons at Des Renford Leisure Centre
Looking for a high-quality swimming program for your child or yourself? The Des Renford Leisure Centre Swim School offers an accredited Austswim and Royal Life Saving Society Swim and Survive program. Designed to promote water safety, confidence, and stroke correction, our program provides a fun and safe learning environment for all ages and abilities—from babies to adults.
Learn to Swim Program Our Learn to Swim program operates on a 48-week Direct Debit plan, allowing students to progress at their own pace. Advancement through the program is based on meeting the assessment criteria for each level.

Important Information:
- If your child is unwell, please do not bring them to lessons. We offer up to 4 credits per year with a valid medical certificate.
- Make-up lessons are not available.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times within the facility.
- A swim tag will be issued for facility access, valid only for swimming lessons. Please bring it to each lesson to avoid delays.
- We accept Active and Creative Kids Vouchers for weekly swimming lessons during school terms.
Adult Learn to Swim Program Our Adult Swimming Lessons cater to beginners and intermediate swimmers who want to improve their confidence and technique. With small class sizes (maximum of 8 students per lesson), our qualified instructors provide tailored guidance to help you achieve your swimming goals.
Beginner Sessions:
- Monday: 11:30am – 12:30pm
- Wednesday: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
- Friday: 11:30am – 12:30pm
- Friday: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Intermediate Sessions:
- Wednesday: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
- Friday: 11:30am – 12:30pm
