Toddler Sense is a whole new world of sensory stimulation, play, fun adventures and learning for you and your toddler.
Every Toddler Sense class is filled with creative and fun activities to help your toddler develop vital physical, communication, social, emotional and cognitive skills and to burn off excess energy.
Our classes focus on supporting toddlers to develop pre-school readiness skills, socialisation, sharing and co-operation through small group play.
Toddler Sense draws on research, and the work of child development theorists and childcare experts, to offer a complete approach to learning and development from 13 months to 3.5 years of age.

Why is this so important?
By the time a toddler turns 3, the brain will weigh 80% that of an adult’s and it will have twice as many neural connections. Increases in weight are the result of brain cells growing larger and the development of connective pathways between them; the direct result of activities and experiences.
The right side of the brain is more developed in toddlers than the left and remains dominant until their fourth year. The right hemisphere specialises in emotions, exploration, experimentation, inventiveness and creativity, which explains why toddlers are impulsive, creative, curious, imaginative, busy little people who enjoy new challenges.
Toddler Sense introduces toddlers to a whole new world of adventure!

Our activities are designed to keep children busy, active and stimulated by offering them a magical, multi-adventure experience in a safe and happy environment.
Our carefully planned classes aim:
- to promote a positive attitude toward exercise
- to engage and develop cognitive skills and problem solving
- to develop imagination and creativity
- to promote social and emotional development
- to enhance language and communication skills
- to develop an understanding of the world in a fun and energetic way
Each week introduces fresh, new ideas and an action-packed adventure. There is always something new and exciting to look forward to!

What do we do in Class?
Every week at Toddler Sense is different! Where will we go and what will we do this week?! Our class themes vary from Pirates to Superheroes to Animal Safari to Magic Gardens, and everything in between and more!
Even though every week is different, we always have the same routine with each 1 hour session divided into 2 balanced phases – regular structure being important to young children as it helps them feel safe and prepares them for school!
Classes begin with free play in the Adventure Area, which includes bouncy castles, ball pits, soft play modules and more. This time helps children settle in to the class and become confident and familiar in their surroundings, not to mention an opportunity to burn off some energy whilst developing gross motor skills such as strength, balance, co-ordination and climbing.
Children are encouraged to build new friendships and gain confidence as they interact with others. This is also a great opportunity for you to catch up with other caregivers.
After around 20 minutes, we encourage the toddlers to help us tidy away the equipment (which they love to do) sets a precedent for home but also reduces distraction during our structured play which is to follow for 30-35 minutes.
Our structured activities are all about laying the stepping stones for pre-kindy. Toddlers are encouraged to be independent learners and come forward and collect their own equipment and to return it when finished.

In addition, activities will promote turn-taking, listening skills, following instructions, sharing and interaction through questioning.
We also introduce concepts such as direction, size and shape and later on, letter formation too- all whilst developing global development in other areas! These skills are all supported by the caregiver who attends so activities help to build on you and your toddler’s relationship.
