Upgraded playground opens to public in Randwick’s Alison Park

Randwick City Council has reopened the popular Alison Park Playground, unveiling an exciting, colourful and novel new playground for children of all ages and abilities. “We’re so excited to open this beautiful new playground to the public. It’s brighter, safer, more engaging and inclusive for children of all ages and abilities. By all reports, it is also a lot more fun!”, said Randwick Mayor Philipa Veitch. “It’s the latest of eight playgrounds that Randwick Council has upgraded in the last five years, part of our ongoing commitment to improving open spaces and to the wellbeing of children and their families.”….

Calling all astronauts: Waverley Park Playground has officially reopened!

Local children dressed in astronaut costumes delighted in Waverley Council’s official reopening this morning of the inclusive Waverley Park Playground, home to Sydney’s newest rocket ship and bespoke launch control play tower. The new playground is the cornerstone of the Waverley Park upgrade project, proudly co-funded by the NSW Government, through the NSW Public Spaces Legacy Program, in association with the Council. The Council received a $1.75 million grant from the Public Spaces Legacy Program to assist in funding Waverley Park upgrades including the new inclusive playground, park lighting upgrades, landscaping and relocation of a fitness station. Have your say on two new playgrounds in the East

Woollahra Council needs your help redesigning two playgrounds in the Eastern Suburbs! Thornton Reserve at Bellevue Hill or Spring Street Reserve in Paddington are both getting makeovers, and the council wants to know what you’d like to see there.  The idea is to make both spaces more accessible, safe and enjoyable, but council’s designers know that nobody knows parks and playgrounds better than the children and parents who play and hang out in them every day.
