As well as consciously providing affordable secondhand goods and customer service to cater for all socio-economic needs, the shop has become a community space where people feel safe and enjoy the ambient and colourful environment and this gives me joy. South Maroubra Ocean Swim

Stretch out the season with the annual South Maroubra Ocean Swim. South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club hosts one of the final Sydney swims of the season, with all entry fees contributing to the purchase of vital lifesaving equipment required by their volunteer lifesavers. This year’s event features three race courses, 500m, 1km and 2.5 km. Each course will commence and end at the south end of the beach.
