As the holiday season unfolds, Randwick City streets are buzzing with excitement, thanks to Summer Sounds, Randwick City Council’s newest live music initiative. This vibrant program brings talented musicians to nine town centers every Saturday until 15 February 2025, adding a lively rhythm to the community.
Formerly known as the Pop-Up Music Program, Summer Sounds features a refreshed weekly lineup of artists performing across the city’s most beloved spots. With its success following the much-loved Spot On Festival, Mayor Dylan Parker sees this initiative as a way to further enliven Randwick’s high streets.
“Live music creates a unique atmosphere, transforming busy streets into places where people want to gather, connect, and linger,” said Mayor Parker. “Randwick City is a summer destination for thousands of visitors, with stunning beaches, vibrant shopping precincts, and unique town centers. Summer Sounds enhances this experience, inviting everyone to explore our local shops, cafes, and restaurants while enjoying fantastic live performances.”
