Monday’s Local Mum, Chloe Noble

Hi, I’m Chloe, a mother to two and recently certified Hypnobirthing Australia practitioner. In my former life, I worked as a TV producer making ads for TV but since having kids I’ve become a full-time mum and have found a deep passion in the birth space and in particular childbirth education. I have a deep trust in women’s ability to birth and believe that it is instinctive and doesn’t need to be taught, however, I believe that education is empowering and a positive birth experience can set women up for a positive and enriching postpartum period. I’m excited to be…

Estas Bel: The pioneering Australian shapewear brand founded by a nurse revolutionising the fashion industry

If the word ‘faja’, pronounced ‘faha’ doesn’t sound familiar to you, it’s because it’s a Spanish word, meaning girdle. Estás Bel is a new Australian company specialising in shapewear garments called fajas. Originating from Columbia, these fajas were originally intended for a totally different purpose. In fact, they were used in hospitals and clinics as post-op and post-partum garments.Working as a Registered Nurse in Sydney, Belinda Tayi quickly realised after patients who had recently gone for cosmetic procedures such as liposuction and Brazilian butt lifts (BBLs) had limited options in relation to post-op shapewear and that most post-op garments were…

A Walking History Tour of Waverley Cemetery gives a glimpse into the past.

Our members are people who may have an interest in genealogy, social and local history and the preservation of the memories and deeds of notable Australians buried in the cemeteries. Or they may have relatives interred in either Waverley or South Head Cemetery. Our members guide walking history tours of Waverley Cemetery every Saturday. Our guides are passionate about sharing their knowledge of the people, monuments and social significance of the cemeteries. Other…
