Randwick’s newest family-friendly street dining festival, Spot On, returns every till  Thursday 28 October 2024, sporting a fresh lineup of entertainers to keep The Spot buzzing.

After last week’s successful launch, Randwick City Council will again close St Pauls Street in front of the Ritz Cinema, making it pedestrian-friendly and allowing local restaurants to take over the street for another evening of alfresco dining and live entertainment.

This week, the Maxi Signori Duo will entertain diners with their exciting blend of Latin sounds, soul, blues and folk, followed by a lively performance by up-and-coming indie-pop artist, Will Baker.

Funded through the NSW Government’s Open Streets program, Council’s Spot Onfestival aims to bring the community together and support business in the area, and early results appear promising.

Over 3100 people visited The Spot last Thursday evening, which is over 1000 people more than a usual Thursday evening.

Local business operators reported an increase across the precinct in both numbers of diners and revenue across venues. Feedback from attendees showed that Spot On delivered vibrancy, celebrated local businesses and fostered a strong sense of community.

As the weather warms up, Council is encouraging people to bring along family and friends to a unique street dining experience at Spot On every Thursday night from 6pm to 10pm until 24 October.

The Open Streets Program is part of the NSW government’s Vibrant Streets Package, which helps transform streets into thriving local places that support businesses, creative sectors, and the community.

Information regarding street closures and bus diversions is available on the Council’s website, along with updates on the week’s entertainment lineup.
