Where and how long have you lived in Sydney’s east:
My husband and I moved over from the UK to Sydney 8 years ago and arrived in Rose Bay. We have stayed in the east ever since, we love being near the water and so close to everything.
How many children?
2 crazy wonderful toddlers. Rory age 3 and Rae age 20 months.
Lyne Park in Rose Bay, it has something for all age groups, picnic area and a great park and cafe next to it. Plus the waterside setting is stunning.
Camp Cove near Watsons Bay, calm water and stunning location.
Favourite kid friendly cafe:
Centennial Park cafe, down near the new bike track is fantastic.
Favourite Coffee Spot:
Batiste and Wilson in Rose Bay, lovely Staff, delicious coffee.
Favourite date night place:
Vue Bar Bondi, cocktails, sliders and a great view of Bondi.
Favourite Local Day Out Activity:
Centennial Park, the new bike track or water park are great. If not, duck feeding and a picnic.
Favourite wet weather location:
Double Bay library, it’s perfect on a rainy day.
Describe an ideal day in Sydney’s eastern suburbs for you?
An ideal day out for us would be a morning at the beach either Camp Cove or Point Piper, naps at home then an early dinner out with the kids.
What area of the east have you yet to explore much but would like to?
I haven’t really spent much time in Maroubra and have heard the beach there is great! I need to get down there for a day out this summer.
Work or SAHM?
Bit of both, I love my days with the children but I also love my job. Working for myself I’m lucky I can choose the best hours to work around the children. I run Aspara Bronzing and Beauty Studio.
Do whatever you need to do that feels right to cope. Parenting is the more challenging thing in the world and the pressure can be unreal.
A happy mum and is a happy bub.
