McAuley Catholic Primary School Walkathon Brings Joy and Funds to Rose Bay
Rose Bay, 6 September 2024 – The streets of Rose Bay were alive with energy this morning as McAuley Catholic Primary School held its biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Walkathon. The entire school community, made up of 250 enthusiastic children, walked, danced, and cheered their way through the neighbourhood, raising essential funds for ongoing playground upgrades and the rejuvenation of learning resources.
The event was a colourful spectacle and music filled the air as the children celebrated their achievements along the route. Several students and even teachers wore giant cockroach costumes, courtesy of our major sponsor, the award-winning pest control company,
Pest2Kill. The sight of “cockroaches” parading through Rose Bay was a memorable highlight, bringing smiles and laughter to both participants and onlookers.
At the end of their walk, each student was awarded a certificate of achievement and a well-deserved zooper dooper to cool down.
McAuley Catholic Primary School extends its heartfelt thanks to the local businesses that generously supported the event.
Their contributions have made a significant impact on the success of the Walkathon, and we couldn’t have done it without them. Special thanks to:
Though the Walkathon is over, it’s not too late to contribute. We continue to welcome donations to help us reach our fundraising goal. This
