Calling all kids ready to step onto the stage or into a studio – as well as stage mums and dads who are  sure they have a talented tot or pre-teen! Sydney’s Macquarie Centre is set to launch its search for a future  TV superstar with a real reporting role on offer as part of an incredible prize worth $10,000.

Commencing Friday 14 April and running for 10 days, Macquarie Centre will host live auditions for primary  school aged kids, in a purpose-built studio space with the camera really rolling.

In a role inspired by decades of breakfast TV entertainment reporters keeping viewers posted via live ‘on  location’ crosses direct to the studio, the most talented kids entertainment reporter – as judged by the  Macquarie Centre team after reviewing all video auditions – will be appointed Macquarie Centre’s own  intrepid mini newshound, bringing the local community the best of what’s happening in-centre throughout  the year.

A perfect school holiday boredom-buster, the live auditions will see kids present direct to camera with the  video edited, downloadable and shareable with family and friends. Once submitted, participants will be in  the running to win – no dramatic experience is necessary but charisma counts! There will also be prizes  available on the day, with every participant receiving a complimentary pass to the Macquarie Ice Rink.

A Casting Director and Production Assistant will be on hand to welcome the budding TV talent onto the  studio floor to choose their preferred cue card (with a variety produced to cater for all reading levels). This  is about kids having fun so if they mess up or stumble their words, they can simply start again – and if  they’re feeling confident they’ll be able to adlib to add their own style and personality to the audition.

The top Kids’ Entertainment Reporter will find themselves in a starring role – working with a professional  film crew and having the opportunity to review all the centre’s amazing entertainment and food options,  “road testing” and reporting back on their experiences in video format, featured across Macquarie Centre’s  website and social channels. The prize also includes a $500 per month Macquarie Centre Gift Card,  monthly passes for the whole family to Event Cinemas, Strike Bowling and Macquarie Ice Rink, as well as  complimentary valet parking for 12 months (for mum or dad of course). The winner will be announced on  Tuesday 2 May.
