The Randwick City Council and Heffron Centre are excited to open their sports courts and gymnastics spaces to the community. The Exclusive Community Sports Weekend will allow you to be amongst the first to see Heffron Centre new facilities, take part in some fun “come and try” sports and games PLUS have the chance to win some great prizes.

Event activities
Facility Tours
The team will walk you through the newly completed Heffron Centre, introducing you to the sports court and gymnastics centre.
Stick around for games and activities!
Tours will run on the hour starting at 9am, last tour at 4pm. Tours will be approximately 10 -15 minutes.
Note: the Rabbitohs Training facilities will not be open to the public.
Formal Ceremony (12pm Saturday)
Join for the official opening ceremony followed by a community forum to have your say as to what you would like to see at our new Heffron Centre.
Half Court Shot Competitions (Saturday Only)
Do you have what it takes to make the shot from half of the basketball court? We will be giving 4 lucky visitors the chance to shoot for $100 four times throughout Saturday. Starting at 10:30am, any unclaimed prizes will jackpot throughout the day. Meaning our last competition for the day may be worth $400!
Competitions held Saturday 6th May at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm & 1:30pm
Registration upon entry. Four lucky visitors will be pulled from the barrel at random to have a chance to shoot for $100. One shot per person, per timeslot. Visitors must register for each competition for a chance.
Mini Sport Competitions
Challenge your friends and family to a game of basketball, futsal or volleyball across our open weekend.
- Floorball (Indoor Hockey) 9am – 10am Saturday
- Basketball from 1:30pm Saturday
- Badminton & Pickelball from 9am – 10am Sunday
- Futsal from 11am – 1pm Sunday
- Volleyball from 2pm Sunday
Open play will be available through both days to show us your skills on the courts.
Gymnastics
Tour the state-of-the-art Gymnastics space, learn about BK Gymnastics and participate in activities and games across both days.
Dance Party (Saturday Only)
Kick off the weekend event with a dance party with the team from The Dance Society between 9am – 10am Saturday 6th May. Open to everyone to join our Hip Hop dance and Pre-school program showcases.
Bring your dancing shoes – it’s time to bust a move!
BBQ Lunch
A sausage sizzle will be available between 11am – 2pm both Saturday & Sunday.

Getting Here
Heffron Centre is located opposite Southpoint Shopping Centre, along Bunnerong Road. Our car park has ample space, however, if it does become busy street parking is available.
Please note: In and around the site will be busy, so we thank you for your patience and understanding as we all enjoy visiting the Heffron Centre.
Accessibility

The South Sydney Rabbitohs Training Excellence Centre will not be open to the public over this weekend.
