CELEBRATING 21 YEARS OF MARKETS AT THE ENTERTAINMENT QUARTER

2022 marks 21 years of markets at the Entertainment Quarter.   In an amazing feat of endurance, the twice-weekly market, now run by Cambridge  Markets, has survived social change, recession, floods, storms and even a  pandemic.  Market coordinator Madelienne Anderson said she wanted to pay homage to the  hundreds, if not thousands, of stallholders who have made the pilgrimage to the  Entertainment Quarter over the past two decades to be a part of the market.    “It is an amazing achievement to celebrate a milestone like 21 years,” Anderson  said. “We are so grateful to have had the support of so…

Coogee Island Challenge

The Coogee Island Challenge is an annual ocean swim at Coogee Beach which navigates around Wedding Cake Island. For over 20 years now, Coogee Surf Life Saving Club has run the Coogee Island Challenge. ​This is an ocean swim event that navigates around Wedding Cake Island with the Spring Challenge in November and the Autumn Challenge in April every year. A BRAND NEW CHRISTMAS MARKET FOR MARTIN PLACE LAUNCHES ON NOVEMBER 26

The centre of Sydney will come alive with festive cheer this year when the Martin Place Christmas Markets launch on November 26. The markets, supported by City of Sydney and operated by Cambridge Markets, will run until Christmas Eve in the pedestrian boulevard of Martin Place in Sydney’s central business district.
