South Coogee to Maroubra Coastal Walkway reopens

A staircase on the Coastal Walkway providing access to Lurline Bay and connecting South Coogee to Maroubra has reopened today, 1 March 2023, almost nine months after storms forced its closure. Large cracks appeared in the concrete staircase and the supporting brick piers collapsed in June last year after huge storms lashed the coast.
