One of Sydney’s favourite annual events is on again, with Cambridge Markets holding its annual Watsons Bay Spring Market on September 17, from 10am – 3pm.

Held at Robertson Park, more than 150 stallholders will gather on the Sydney harbour foreshore for one of the best events the Eastern Suburbs has to offer.

This year’s event will be as much fun as ever, with an amazing selection of stallholders including food, fashion, art, craft, jewellery, photography, toys, pet treats and pet accessories, homewares, plants, eco stalls and plenty more.

World food has become a big part of the market, with delicious eats from across the globe, including Thai, Vietnamese, American, French, Italian, Chinese, and Turkish cuisines, and more, represented.

“We always love this beautiful waterside market,” said Cambridge Markets founder Madelienne Anderson. “It has such a great vibe. Because it takes place at the beginning of spring, it represents a great chance for people to throw off their winter blues, get out into the sunshine, shop, eat, relax and just enjoy being in Sydney”.

“The waterfront location at Robertson Park makes it the most amazing market possibly anywhere in Australia. It’s just so great to get off the ferry and head down to the park to find this incredible array of stallholders who sell such interesting products by the harbour underneath the canopy of the giant figs. Everyone loves this market, it just works.”

Local businesses attending this market include gorgeous homewares from Love Generation and Johnson & Savage, handmade jewellery from Bowerbird Jewels and Alrok, genuine Panama hats from Perez Trading, embroidered pet collars from Porters 4 Pets, an assortment of art by Love from Lilibet, as well as all natural Australian beauty products from Alaya Body and honey and beeswax products from Pollen Sisters.

World food vendors include southern-fried chicken wings by Just Wing It, authentic gozleme by Ottoman Turkish Gozleme, delicious paella by Sofrito Paella, Filipino barbecue skewers from the Cookout BBQ and heartwarming gnocchi from the Gnocchi Garden. If craving a sweet treat, look no further than traditional Dutch pancakes from Mr and Mrs Pancakes, Portuguese tarts by Natas & Co, handmade Jumbo doughnuts by Mad Dough Mad Happy or sweet and savoury crepes from Cut the Crep

This Watsons Bay Spring Market has now been held at Robertson Park since 2018 with each event more colourful than the last.

“We have many stallholders who have been attending this market since its inception and it is great to see shoppers and vendors forming a relationship that spans across years,” Anderson said. “It’s a really special way to shop. To get out of the big shopping centres and to engage with the people who make, bake and create. People love coming to these markets so they can buy something special and out of the ordinary.”

A crowd of more than 10,000 is expected to attend the market, which is outdoors and spacious. There will also be live music throughout the day.

This family-friendly market also features a variety of activities for the kids to enjoy, such as face-painting, temporary henna, coloured sand art activities, hair braiding, as well as glitter tattoos and glitter glam.
