ANZAC Day is one of Australia’s most important national days, a time for reflection, remembrance, and coming together as a community to honour those who have served.
If you’re in Sydney’s east, the Coogee Dawn Service is a beautiful and moving way to mark the occasion with your family.
The service will take place at 5:30am on Friday 25 April 2026 at Goldstein Reserve, Coogee, in collaboration with the Coogee Randwick Clovelly RSL sub-branch.
As the sun rises over the ocean, the ceremony will include a Welcome to Country, prayers, wreath laying, the haunting Last Post bugle call, a minute’s silence, and both the Australian and New Zealand national anthems, along with special musical performances. It’s a meaningful experience for all ages and a wonderful opportunity to help children understand the significance of the day.
This much-loved local service is supported by RSL sub-branches across Randwick City, including Coogee Randwick Clovelly, Kensington, Malabar, Maroubra and Matraville, as well as the Prince Henry Hospital Museum.
Can’t make it in person?
The service will be livestreamed via Randwick City Council’s Facebook page, so you can still take part from home.
2026 program details will be shared closer to the date—stay tuned.
